The Art of Tea Bowls - Exhibition of Kirei-Sabi and Vessels For Daily Use

Takatori ware is alive with tradition stretching back 420 years. This exhibition presents numerous tea bowls from the kilns of the Kuroda clan. Visitors will also find elegant tea bowls made using thin-walled techniques for use in modern life. This time the exhibition will provide the chance to enjoy both the appeal of Takatori tea bowls and their potential as modern vessels. We hope both those fond of tea ceremony and those fond of fine cuisine will find something to enjoy.
