The distinctive appeal of Agano Ware lies in its thin lightweight material, and a wide variety of glazes that melt in the kiln to produce a variety of patterns. The Mamoru kiln upholds tradition while breathing new life into vessels by using scraping technique to remove portions of the surface and create patterns around seasonal motifs.
