The Kurume Kasuri fabric items on display in this exhibition have all satisfied specific technical requirements as a Nationally Designated Traditional Craft and have passed a rigorous screening process, with only around 40 items made each year. Come along and experience at close quarters traditional weaving techniques and the unique texture of items woven from cotton and natural indigo.
