Green Tea Country – Yame & Okuyame Traditional Arts and Craft: Exhibition of Traditional Skills and Light

Displayed for sale are a range of traditional products, from Yame Fukushima butsudan (Buddhist altars) and Yame chochin lanterns, which have been designated as traditional crafts of national importance, to the prefecturally-designated crafts of stone lanterns, hand-made washi paper, Japanese spinning tops and Yame arrows. The highlights of this exhibition are Bon Festival lanterns and Japanese paper lampshades created under the theme of “light.”
