In celebration of the Doll Festival, famous Hakata ningyo dollmakers created a lineup of hina dolls to pray for the healthy growth and happiness of children. The variety of dolls here, made using around four centuries of traditional techniques coupled with new sensibilities, not only make excellent presents but are also sure to be popular among adult women as decorative items.
