Koishiwara Ware

Koishiwara ware is a type of pottery which boasts a history of around 350 years. Koishiwara ware potters create tableware with modern designs suited to contemporary lifestyles while adhering to traditional techniques, such as tobikanna (chatter marking), nagashikake (glaze pouring at regular intervals) and hakeme (brush marking). The items on display and sale include tableware that is perfect for summer dining tables, including beer cups, bowls for cold dishes and pasta dishes.
